Job Description
Danfoss Climate solution is looking for an experiencedSenior Innovation Engineerwho is ready to take on a truly exciting and challenging role.
You will be part of the RAC R&D and Engineering organization , and will report to Head of Innovation and New Product Development in India
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Lead identification of new innovative product ideas
- Lead cross functional product idea feasibility project to technology level 6 where a new product development team will take over for final implementation
- Validate and challenge the true business potential of the ideas
- Identify new product and system solutions for Refrigeration and Air-condition systems
- Validate the feasibility of the new product and system solutions
- Validate new technologies that are used in Refrigeration and Air-condition products and solutions
- Ensure sufficient use of advanced design tools like simulation, ADM and virtual engineering.
- Coach team to deliver state of the art products within the refrigeration and fluid controls business
- Drive robust design for mechanical and mechatronic products and solutions
- Ensure close cooperation and alignment with the quality engineers, Chief Engineers and design engineers
- Ensure clear communication about status, challenges and risk for the product designs to key stakeholder
- Support the New Product Development team on new technologies
- Perform technical feasibility studies and product cost evaluation for future NPD projects
- Play a vital role within the innovation and agile execution of the product development road map.

- Identify new products and system solutions for Refrigeration and Air-condition systems
- Prepare the new products ideas for a level where they are ready for New Product Development implementation
- Validate new technologies to a level where they are ready for New Product Development implementation
Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
- Bachelor or Master in Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or similar education
- 6 or more years’ experience with design of mechatronics and mechanical product products
- Electrical engineering knowledge is an advantage
- Experience with 3D CAD
- Fluent and comprehensive English, CET 6
- Simulation I Ansys Aim
Other aspects
- Experience within Refrigeration, air-condition or heating systems is a great advantage
- Experience with cross functional teams in multiple locations
- Experience with collaboration with external partners and off-shoring of engineering activities
